RAFT Symposium

RAFT Symposium is an interactive opportunity for educators to develop instructional strategies for using hands-on activities and integrated curricula to effectively engage students, enhance academic content, and deliver lessons that stick! Denver Art Museum Presents: STEAM On
Friday, July 24, 9 am – noon

What is it about art that can unleash the creative explorer in a child? Is it the sense of magic and wonder incited by an artwork from another culture or time? Or experimenting with materials in unexpected ways to create something unique? Explore the Denver Art Museum’s approach to informal learning through this interactive workshop where you will dive into resources and strategies to engage your students through art. Leave with practical ideas for unlocking that creative spark that extends to all disciplines. This workshop is designed for Pre-K through 5th grade teachers of any subject. 

Denver Art Museum Workshop: Design Thinking
Friday, July 24, 1 pm – 4 pm

Seeking creative solutions? Learn about Design Thinking: a human-centered design approach schools use to seek new solutions to challenging problems. Preview how the Denver Art Museum adapted the process for students in distance learning classes. During the session you will begin to apply the process to a challenge your school faces.
